About Science & Tech

From refugee camps to the frontiers of science.

Palestinian scientists have made their mark in laboratories around the world, often after starting with very little. Omar Yaghi, born to refugees in a one-room home in Amman, won the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

Ali Nayfeh helped shape the study of nonlinear dynamics and Munir Nayfeh worked at the frontier of nanotechnology. Engineers such as Aseel Anabtawi have worked on NASA’s space missions, and Loay Elbasyouni on Ingenuity, the helicopter that flew on Mars.

The people in this path are scientists, engineers, inventors and researchers. Their work reaches from solar power to space.
