Born in 1984, Bethlehem. Dr. Anton Khalilieh pursued his academic interests in ornithology and ecological physiology, earning a Ph.D. from Ben-Gurion University . His expertise extends to nature conservation, environmental impact assessment, and wildlife photography.He has been recognized as the premier Palestinian birdwatcher in the West Bank and is also a wildlife photographer, showcasing a deep-rooted passion for nature and the environment.Professionally, Dr. Khalilieh serves as the Executive Director of Nature Palestine Society (NPS), an environmental NGO established to research, protect, conserve, and educate about nature, biodiversity, and the environment in Palestine. Under his leadership, NPS has been actively working towards raising awareness and implementing conservation projects to preserve the natural heritage of Palestine.Dr. Anton Khaliliah's contributions extend beyond organizational leadership. He is deeply engaged in on-ground conservation projects and environmental assessments. His endeavors reflect a profound commitment to fostering a sustainable coexistence between nature and the communities in Palestine. Through his work, Dr. Khalilieh embodies a vision of a Palestinian society that values and actively participates in the preservation of its natural biodiversity and ecosystems.
